For the first time since we planted our olive trees, we have no olive oil this year! This was the worst year by far for fruit fly infestation. We had to dispose our entire harvest. Since we farm organically, we use clay to protect the olive trees from fruit flies, but we’ll have to go back to the drawing board and try again next year.
